Took me a while to get around it as this one guy I knew was super obsessed with it and it turned me off to it.

Anyways I felt like the first half of the show and some later parts were a complete rip off of EVA. The things I did like was the main character was much more likable than his EVA counter part and the parallel universe thing was kinda neat although I wish it was used as a story element a lot more.

Gonna give it a light 6 out of 10.

That was still the hotness back then, after all.

I understand but some of the scenes were done like frame for frame almost.

If they stay away from EVA (which at this point they prolly would) I wouldn't mind it as long as they keep the parallel universe aspect in it.

They should rip-off Legend of the galactic heroes.   :woop:

I liked it, yeah pretty heavy with the EVA influences, would have been nice if the third/combined world turned out to be the main Tenchi Muyo! universe and crossovers galore with Kazuki and Zinv encounters Seina and the Idol, with Tenchi coming in and using his power to break up the fight

If you wanna watch another heavily influenced EVA series, watch RahXephon.  It's pretty blatant.
