Almost half way folks, I do enjoy the interactions between the original cast and Tenchi though for what little there is.
Momo is the most important female character in the series. She is turning out some way to be like Noike and Tenchi in Tokyo's Sayuka She is the little girl whom Tenchi is helping in the Feudal Japan timeline.
I like the appearance of the regular characters. Mihoshi has to make more appearance as the series progresses. She seems to be on a Galaxy Police assignment at the moment. Also, she is staying at the Masaki Residence.

Does anybody else get the feeling that this seems like bad fanfiction, with lots of pointless bland and hollow new characters inserted for the heck of it? Could it be some kind of comment on the fandom along those lines, or am I being paranoid?

None of the new girls have a personality I really feel stick out. Blue hair is kind of cute with how she acts and Momo is tolerable, but I feel the others are either too plain or one dimensional. In a series that hit the archetypes on the head, having only three minutes each day to build upon the new ones is hard to do.
They're are all one dimensional archetypes. And I'm still waiting for all this tourism Takahashi was sold on. At this point Takahashi City should sue for fraud.

You know things are going down when a small percentage of people in a fanbase say that something will not end well, and then everyone realizes that what that small percentage predicted was indeed happening. In this case, I was in the small percentage, and other people gave it a chance (Which I applaud them for doing so - they were keeping their heads up high in case Ai Tenchi turned out to be good), but when the truth was revealed (In this case Ai Tenchi turning out to be absolute garbage) - BOOM HEADSHOT! Anniversary season my rear end - at this point I hope AIC loses a lot of money from this piece of waste (Even bankrupt would be good at this point!) and that Kajishima jumps ship.

Agreed, AIC had something going here that was at least different... but then this week they suddenly switched to the cliche stuff and things went downhill real fast. Hey batter batter... STRIKE 1!

I noticed this from the beginning, but anyone think Rui (short haired Sasami-ish looking girl) and Fuka Yuki (the tan haired Washu) act like a Mihoshi / Washu team? Which is kinda insulting, seeing Mihoshi is pretty much MIA this series and Washu is a background character.
Unless Rui and Fuka are supposed to be their animatronic puppets or something somehow?

Hey that not because I don't absolutely hate it that it mean I was to gives a chance. I had not expectation whatsoever for it series. The only thing I really wished was they don't ruin Aeka and Sasami and so far they don't make them punched Tenchi so that okay. Maybe I am not as angry as others because I just don't really care.

I had expect the series to focus on the Feudal Period timeline in one of the episodes. The show is lost in the present. The link between the Feudal Period and Present timelines is important. I can assumed that the Feudal Period timeline is the most serious of the two timelines.

But I cannot honestly say I've ever been this bored watching brand new material with the actual Tenchi gang as this episode.

In this episode, someone has used the power of the Lighthawk Wings. Anyone who has the power is related to the Jurain Royal Family. Tenchi could have used the power since Momo and he was threaten by Beni. Tenchi seems not to be in the state to used the Lighthawk Wing power. He can still the power unconsciously. It is likely that Momo had used the Lighthawk Wing to protect Beni, Tenchi ad herself before the three fell off the roof.

If the producers want to follow the pattern of the OVA and Universe series, they will need to start to become more serious during the final episodes. The Feudal Period timeline connection remains unresolved. There is a sign of someone using the power of the Lighthawk Wings in episode 34.

Tuesday's show up.
Today the show actually seemed to have a plot beyond fanservice or general stupidity. Ayeka, Sasami, Washu, and Ryoko are all there, and it seems to come right before episode 1.
Ordinarily I'm not a fan of out of sequence shows, the film Memento did it best but not everything is Memento's caliber. Instead, it becomes a device to prop up a shitty plot.
This episode is one of the show's better ones, if for nothing else but having the cast everyone cares about. Hopefully the show can build up some momementum and keep this up, instead of faltering again into stupid stuff with the limited time it has left.
EDIT: I have a feeling they are going to explain away Mihoshi's non-screentime through some plot contrivance so they only have to pay her actress for a few lines they recorded in a day ahead of time or some such, seeing how she was only seen in the cave and then in the past.
Finally the series is starting to make some sense. Tenchi is finally out of the Feudal Japan timeline. It seems that Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka, and Sasami have been sent to the future by Washu. The future timeline helps to explain the existence of the tablets. The year is 2025. This means that the events of AI: TENCHI MUYO are very close to the timeline for a possible TENCHI MUYO series which I like to call TM: THE NEXT GENERATION.

I have the translated version of the episode. While the series is based in the future, the year is not 2025. The year is more likely 2014. 2025 is referred to a number. Mishoshi has finally makes a full appearance in the series. Now, I am wondering if she is working for Washu, the GP or both.
