I'm literally crying :fuck:
As I said on Tenchiforum, this is going to be something else. Not incredibly excited until I see more info.
I'm expecting something more along the lines of a doujin that details the story of OAV 4 that could have been rather than an actual anime. But, we'll see.
AIC would probably ruined it.

For those who didn't see it before, I did recently predict that Kajishima releasing new art for an official product (The new art of Shin Ayeka specifically) was a good omen. Looks like I was right...
...but enough of that. IT'S SUPER HYPE PARTY TIME! :getin:

Just keep in mind, Kajishima is a freelancer and not an employee of AIC. His involvement with DMM does not necessarily reflect his current relationship status with AIC. Right now they could be "seeing other people". :bomb:
I've never been more excited for anything in my entire life. Thank you so much Kajishima for not giving up on your series like so many other creators have. :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
If people who enjoyed AiTM are actually complaining about this news, I sincerely hope they go eat a bullett. Ungrateful shitstains. :emot-commissar:

I guess they would see a new OVA as a proof AITM was so great that saved the franchise and the only reason why OVA 4 is made (if that turn out the announcement is a new OVA) is because how AITM is so a masterpiece.

Of course, this should also be kept in mind folks. We'll see what happens in the coming days as to who's actually working with Kaj on this... I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped ship. :speculate:
Oh this is Sexy! I hope its wont get ruined!!
I should say something.

I don't know what to say.

Uooooh!
Wow! I am speechless. I had almost given up all hope. If this is true, I am overjoyed. Thank you very much for the news! :)

Step aside Negishi, let the kang go to work.

Have the pages been scanned yet, especially Kajishima-sensei's note at the end?

Not yet
Interesting. . .
Thought that I might be feeling a bit of excitement in anticipation of this 4th OAV. Whatever's to be in store for the audience after the 3rd OAV won't be better than the 3rd OAV, I do speculate. The 3rd OAV is the best OAV.
But, curious about this, though. . . :iron:

ehhh :duck:
I refuse to get excited yet because I don't want to be disappointed. But I would like for there to be an OVA 4, and I'd like it to be longer than the standard six episodes (which is what I'd hoped for in OVA 3), and I'd like it to pull in the elements from the -If- doujinshi titles.
I can't wait to see where this goes. :bravo:
Just to clear things up, The announcement is NOT official yet it's just Kaji saying hey yo I'm working on it until AIC puts out a press release there won't be much to talk about.
@Astro, As far as -if- story elements I would say it's high, supporting evidence would be the fact that Kaji has put "Shin Ayeka",Teenage Sasami, Adult? Ryo-ohki and Adult Neju in that game which all appeared in -if- I can't see them being just random additions to the game ether unless it was gonna be to promote something.
One thing I always give credit to Kaji for is the man is consistent. He has the idea in his head, and for the most part that's exactly what we get one way or another.
Least he's not like some OTHER creator who is acting like an ass taking a favorite character and making him weak as shit only capable of now going super saiyan 1, and the other 2 get some bullshit blue and red hair color swap power up garbage.
One is completing his story, the other is fucking his up
My understanding of the -If- doujinshi was to make it like a storyboard in order to get AIC to greenlight the project (whatever he was wanting to do) and to give Kajishima-sensei some flexibility if he needed to make story changes.
Well, we'll see what happens.
If this series is produced, and successful, I would love for another TV series based on his GXP novels, and yet another based on his Azusa, Yosho, and Washu prequels.

I'm betting the browser game is a big influence on current franchise interest. :emot-iiam:

Given Ai Tenchi's crashing ratings (going by Nicovideo's viewing figures (http://www.uselesstenchi.org/Forum/index.php?topic=922.msg40385#msg40385) and Google Trends (https://40.media.tumblr.com/aeea730d2216e186b76dfddc770af1c0/tumblr_nh7ii8HWqV1rxlk68o1_1280.png)) and anemic sales figures (http://www.uselesstenchi.org/Forum/index.php?topic=922.0) of just north 1,000 copies per volume, and just lack of fanart on the Japanese/American sites, I'd think so unless there is something I'm missing about the business arrangement it had. I don't know any way to measure it, but there has been a lot more twitter photo posts after the game was announced January 7 than there was during Ai Tenchi's run from Oct 7 to the new year. The only thing is that Google Trends hasn't shown much uptick from the game either....
I'm actually surprised that AIC is doing anything new Tenchi at all right after that showing. I was thinking they'd quash the franchise or sell it cheap to someone else way before we'd see a new Tenchi Muyo Ryoohki.

Looks like a number of old art, and given MK's recent schedule, don't think I can blame him. Perhaps a story board to OAV4. The woman facing off with Seto is probably Azuza's mother, Amame (with an 'm'). The shadow figure I guess is one of Tenchi's babies.
I wonder if the 4 on the cover has a question mark because they don't know if this will be an OAV, or a TV show or what? I heard OAV sales crashed, so they might reconsider the format Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki should be in? (Since I watch very little anime, I'm just passing on what I heard about OAV sales in general, don't know if there is truth to it.)

For what I see those days OVA are series based on manga and released in the same times that a volume of the manga.
:how:
I will like to see OVA4 as a sequel to the Ryo-Ohki series. OVA 4 should take place after the GXP series had finished. I want to see Tenchi as a ronin in the OVA 4 series. He is starting to notice that his feelings for most of his girlfriends are starting to become more intimate. It will be fun to have the first episode of the series start out with Tenchi having an intimate dream. In this dream, Tsunami is in the kitchen of Tenchi's childhood home. The only thing which Tsunami is wearing is an apron.
:crash:
If OVA 4 is done right, it may be able to save the franchise. As usual, I will have to leave it up to AIC on how to do OVA 4. I will suggest that AIC seeks out Masaki Kajishima's help in the making of the new series. Ai: TENCHI MUYO did turn out to be a good attempt for a spinoff of Tenchi Muyo. AI did suggest that Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi: Universe are set in Takahashi, Japan.

I'm not, them even getting the slightest hint that they can make some profit, they in.
Damn I love those money hungry Yakuza bastards right now...

Hmm, can we assume there's more based Tokimi and Seto based on the art, or since it's just old art do we literally just know "it's happening?"

So, does anybody have any news about the supposed announcement that was going to come out Saturday or Sunday? I really hope that it wasn't an April Fool's joke.

Yes, no date yet it's in pre planning.
I had heard this. Not sure what to make of it yet though. Unlike OAV2 IMHO OAV3 didn't leave too many plot devices to nip at. If it is OAV4 I wonder if it'll be after a sort of time-jump that a lot of manga-ka have been favoring lately. *scratches beard* either way, I'll be eagerly awaiting any news about it.
