The PC-FX game...

As we continue to fill in the pages on the Tenchi.fandom wiki, one piece of Tenchi media that seems to have gone mostly under the radar (at least in the Western community), is the Tenchi Muyo! game released in 1996 on the PC-FX. Unlike Tenchi Muyo! Game-Hen on Famicon, which was a turn-based tactical RPG, this game appears to essential be a visual novel where most of the gameplay is just reading/hearing text from the characters.

Further reading indicates that this game is actually two games: one is a remake of an older Tenchi game released on the PC Engine, and the other is a brand new "chapter" of that game focusing on Kiyone and a new character called Hakua.

Unfortunately, it's hard to discern details of the game when it's in Japanese, and as far as I know, unlike Game-Hen, the PC-FX game has never been fan translated.

Am I wrong, and is there actually a translation for this game? Probably not, but even so, is anyone willing to give me some information about this game that I probably didn't know? Who knows, it might be enough for a shiny new page on the wiki.

I only recall that Punistation used to host movie clips from various Tenchi Muyo games in the past, but that is likely not helpful.

I can't seem to get the game running on the link you gave. Every time I try I stay on the black screen and it tells me the emulator didn't load properly.

you can get the roms for both disks (there teo seperste games in one release) off of the internet archive. then you need retro arch and then you need the bios for the system and u need it put in the systems folder of retroarch. then u need the pcfx core and launch it. then if you want to machine translate the game for yourself its as simple as googling how to set up ai translate for retro arch. i personally went the ztranslate account route.  its easy toplay if you have  a basic grasp of machine translation and that installed but actually writing every dialog option and path out for the fandom would be a pain in the butt. anyone can play it relativly understandably though with ai translate toggel set up for it.

I tried to translate it all and its a pain i take back my offer... what I will do though probably pretty soon is a lets play where I read the gist of whats going on on my play route. it has multiple endings... im not doing all those...
