No Need for Tenchi! Manga Volume 3 Cover Question

Hello.  Out of pure curiosity, does anyone know why the volume 3 cover of the No Need for Tenchi! manga (U.S. version) was changed from Sasami (should be pic 1) to Mihoshi (pic 2)?  It seems pretty weird that they did so.  It was the only one that changed and there's even a note on the back of the Mihoshi cover that says it's still the same book with no changes but the covers (pic 3).

Note: Sorry, I can't seem to get the 3rd photo to change it's orientation for the time being.

Lastly, it seems my post is the 4000th one in this sub... sweet.
