I would prefer a new Tenchi Muyo series akin to GXP but without Tenchi or Seina. Rather I'd like to see a real behind the scenes look at Jurai and the GP and see power players go about their daily lives.
Yea that would be real decent to get some access on galactic politics. I've always been interested in the apparent hostility between the houses of Jurai, especially the 2 that hasn't really been shown.

Probably, but think I'm going delay my next international shipment til after the next summer comiket issue. So I won't have a copy in my hands for a couple months. Plus the dollar value continues to climb and I keep hoping to find a cheap copy of Tenchi Sanki #6 to add to my collection. Right now all I've got waiting for me is a copy of Kamidake Onsen 10.

Seiryo was cool for me, especially after GXP. I was pretty meh about him in OVA 2, but he grew on me in GXP. Even grew some balls near the final episodes and pulled that bowl haircut pirate chick. Was smooth and gave her the rsoe and everything....
Plus he has one of the best theme songs in the whole Tenchi franchise.

Hmmmm...I'm not sure how Seiryo came into view, but without knowing the contents of the GXP novels (which expand on the GXP anime a great deal), I wouldn't venture a guess.
Story-wise, Seina may well be on the island in disguise due to whomever the mysterious person is who will "shake up the galaxy" (unless that is Minamida).
Nah, Seiryo was just a joke because of the vibrant pink hair, and it seems to match with the tropical vibe of PW. But yea, wasn't expecting this to be straight up sequel like.
One thing that's on my mind is wondering how effective starting a new series before ending GXP will be. The GXP novels seem to really make the anime non-canon at this point, so I wonder if we can assume the anime ending is for the most part the same canon novel ending with some tweaks and touches, or if GXP will end completely different.
The Renza girls seemed to have went with Seina to Earth and Tenchi's house, Mitsuki and her pops from Dual make their appearance, then you have the slumbering chick from Vol 4 or 5. Then Kiriko's mom seems to have a pretty important part in one of the later novels. So I hope we don't start to get into this "sequel" and we don't even have our prequel facts right. Though at the same time, I'm fairly certain the meat of the story (Seina getting a royal seed, the official marriage, etc) should still be intact.

Well as ANB pointed out, after Seina basically became the hammer of justice to the entire Pirate community, a lot of things have changed and most likely putting them at jeopardy in the process. So if anything, I can see this as a opportunity for hopeful guilds to want to get legit and become officially connected with the galactic union (and on Jurai's good side). This seems to be in the guise of some kind of school like setting, cause you know Japan loves school to settle very important conflicts that they deem too important for adults.
Not entirely sure yet how exactly the MC is connected into this politically.

I had a friend who went to Japan who brought me back volume 1 and 2, which rocked. I was surprised to see that the artwork for volume 1 had the girls in sailor school uniforms many times.
Anyway, with the novels apparently selling well, Kajishima-sensei will likely get this done as an anime. I wish he'd get the Shin Tenchi Muyo novels adapted as a set of OVA titles.

EDIT: I just noticed Amazon sold out of all new paperback copies of Paradise War 2. This would explain why I was unable to find the paperback listing a couple weeks ago, but could find it now. Also of note, the price of used copies is double that of your average lightnovel paperback. F-u-c-k that. Buying the kindle edition is without a doubt, the way to go.

Well, it's a long story, but the girls of the story all come from different important families of the TMverse (i.e., one girl is Juraian, one girl is from the Shank Guild and might be Tarant's sister, etc.). Also, apparently Seina makes an appearance as a mentor figure for the hero.
