I'm not sure how much people actually care about this, but it's news. It will be shown from July 17-21.

Thanks for the update!

I'm sure I'll never be able to see it, but I still like knowing these things. I wonder how the costumes will turn out...

Well that is really cool, thank you for linking this!

The one running the Tenchi's Girls Tumblr (Was it Jibs?  I'm not enough of a regular to know who runs the Tumblr but I remember seeing it was Jibril) posted a few pics of the costumes for the stage play on the Tumblr.  We didn't get COMPLETE shots of the cast in costume yet (Unless the Twitter updated since then), but it does look like they'll be utilizing wigs (You can clearly see one in the pic of Ryo-Ohki's costume).

Anyway, especially if this is as good as the Digimon Adventure tri. stage play was (I know I know, tri. is VERY bad and I say it all the time... but the stage play is tri. in name only; it's a completely separate story that ignores tri. completely and is actually MUCH closer to what Digimon Adventure should be, and you should check it out if you can), sign me up as wanting to check it out eventually if they put out a video or something.  :)
"I believe classic Mewtwo shot first, and I will die on that hill." -Me, at some point. Probably.

I truly hope it takes off, and the costumes get more press.  :lurk:

This is probably old news for people here, but I haven't been on twitter for a while so I just saw it. We got a pic of the cast in costume.

Whoa, that's eerie.

Apologies if this is a nitpicking, but I always figured Kagato with his vampire pale skin and unfriendly eyes was more of a Transylvanian than just a Japanese actor with a wig.

Funny you mention that cuz he gave me Dracula-vibes too.

Might've been the organ

Finding one that speaks fluent Japanese is a challenge, though.
"Growing up leads to growing old and then to dying, and dying to me don't sound like all that much fun."

:discoursechef: Indeed, and my expectation is they try to make the vampire more beast like and inhuman, though this and other instances where a stage actor reprises a monster role, at least in Japan, they are very well-dressed and likeable. It must be the specs.
