Long story aside, I leave for Japan on May 1st.  I will be in Okayama for at least one day, and among other places (Mt. Washu, the Great Seto Bridge, etc.) I am planning on visiting the location that Admiral Tigerclaw estimated to be where the Masaki house would be IRL.

So, erm.... Requests? Advice?  Call me names?  I want to share this and get what thoughts I can out of y'all before taking off.

Once you hit Okayama forget hotels; find Ryoko's cave and live in it for that entire duration.

If anyone gives you shit, just swipe at them with your hand while making hissing noises. It's one thing to be a fan but you have an opportunity here to live in the shoes of Ryoko if only temporary.

Otherwise have fun and enjoy your visit to Japan.

:ground: That cave probably has some nice alcoves to ground flatbread or dare I say, launch a fully equipped taco stand from.

Have a nice trip.

The real Shrine in which was the inspiration of the fictional Masaki Shrine is the Taro Shrine also known as Taro Jingu. It is located in Askuchi City.  Strangely, the mountain which Yosho's name was based on is located nearby. A visit to the shrine is essential for any fan of Tenchi Muyo. Once you come to the shrine, make a good donation to the Taro Shrine.

The location where Tenchi's house is located seems to be in Soja City on the Google Map. The location is a lake.  While the lake is not in the shape of a crater, it is an ideal for the location of Tenchi's residence in the real World. Now Soja becomes a candidate for the city where Tenchi's home is located. I still  preferred Takahashi City. If

It is plausible they reference both locations in order to give the wooded backdrop feel; Soja is too urban by itself. And you run the risk of an organ-playing Kagato if you're out late at night.

Haha kewl, post about it sometime though, making a trip right before or right after the crazy summer heat  :discoursechef:
