All my opinion of course.
Mako is ruining the series for me. I can honestly say, if they took her out, the series would be a whole lot better.
Comedy character too in your face with the comedy. I'm enjoying the series but, the parts I'm enjoying are the more serious part. The comedy feels forced IMO. When you have a character that almost exist solely for comedy, the weakest part of the series once again IMO, doesn't help my liking of her.

But the whole series is in your face with everything else, why shouldn't it be with comedy? It fits perfectly with the over the top nature of the show.
Anyway, Ryuko is the best girl. Altough I wanna see more Nonon, I love her design and especially her voice (reminds me of Chiwa Saito).
It isn't so much the 'in your face' comedy I have a problem with. I'm well aware (and don't mind in general) that this isn't a super serious show. My issue is, because the comedy feels forced, it's not funny IMO. :siren: Especially when I could see it coming from a mile away like the dying man routine in episode 4.
So it isn't the comedy I have a problem with, but the execution of it.
