So, I've got an idea for either a fan fiction, solo-role playing game, or something in between. I'm not really sure which yet. But I got to thinking about this as I was daydreaming about a new signature graphic.
I love magical girls. And as I got to thinking about my favorite characters, I have a few of them, but I wanted to specialize within the Magical Girl genre for right now. We need--- I need hope.
Fate Testarossa Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), Skuld (Ah! My Goddess), and Sasami (Well, I hope you know HER!?).
I was going through a bunch of various online photo dumps for images, looking for the perfect images, and that's when I finally settled on Sasami. One of her as Pretty Sammy in her ultra cute magical girl outfit, and then I remembered the foggy bits of personality from her character -- hey, it's been like 20 years, okay? And I thought, ya know, she's probably make for a "peace keeper" type of personality within a trio.
Anyway, my story plot, and it's still very much a work in progress, Sasami, Skuld, and Fate all get transported into some kind of disintegrating dimension. Both Skuld and Fate would be used to exploring alternate dimensions. Sasami and Fate are both familiar with space travel. So this already adds minimial tension.
Fate is the most mentally mature of the group. Skuld is the most physcally mature. And Sasami is probably the most magical of the group. From what I've read on the subway home, Sasami's magic doesn't always work correctly. Kind of like how Skuld's inventions don't necessarily work all the time either. Both Sasasi and Fate have ... shall we say abandonment issues? Like that's the wrong word, um... both have a sense of ... imposter syndrome?
Anyway, I'm digressing really badly here. The story will most definietly be a humorous one, where the true and tried trope of all magical girls shows comes in force. The power of love, teamwork, and dedication to justice. Basically, in a nutshell, the three girls must learn to work together to make their way out of this crumbling dimension. And, maybe they must actually save or repair this dimension from completely collapsing--trapping them inside, or possibly leaking ill-effects into their home dimensions.
Um, anyway, the question I have, since I've been a bad girl, and haven't watched Pretty Sammy yet (I think there are actually two different shows?) I need to find some good resources so I can get Sasami's world, personality and magical workings correctly played out on paper. I figured I'd come here and hope that there's somebody here who could point me in the correct direction? I'm really excited to begin writing this plot/game/arc/whatever-thingamajigy out, but I want to ensure that I've got the characters down correctly.
I did it! I completed Magical Project S. That OP song is pretty darn catchy! And, I've just spent the last four days working on a "back cover" description.
Quote"Fatal Exception: Heartstring Purge?"
F City: Where Hope Comes to Die and Sanity is Optional.
When Fate Testarossa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), Skuld (Ah! My Goddess), and Sasami Kawai (Magical Project S) are tossed into the anarchic dumpster-fire nightmare of F City (Excel Saga), they expect the usual: Find the villain, blast it, go home.
Unfortunately, reality had other plans.
Something in this city doesn't allow them to leave. Their magic glitches at the worst times, they're camera fodder for the ignorant masses, and there's a tax on using glittery lighting effects? But these girls all excel at one thing: perseverance, and as they struggle to work together just to get home, they uncover the rumored PANTIES device, because why not? Like everything in F City, nothing is straightforward and logical. The girls must confront Romio while also avoid being swept up in the concentrated efforts of ACROSS in its mission: City Domination!
But something far more sinister is lurking in the background unbeknownst to everyone.
An ancient program buried deeply within Yggdrasil that acted as a counter-balance to the System Force, sealed away by Urd millennia ago, has broken free. NULL. Now, brimming with cold, logical hatred, it has one goal: to erase magic from existence and alter the design of the Universe with a clean purge of all emotion!
As reality itself begins to fade, the three girls realize only they have the ability to stop this annihilation, but do they have enough hope in their hearts to prevent an all out purge?
Assuming they survive F City long enough to try.
And I'm trying out a new writing software to compile this fiction,
Scrivener.
Seems interesting!
