Z stood back.  his limited knowledge would be a hinderance.

After this was done, a call for the cars to go onto the track was given, everyone in their pit order.  Keiichi then pulled out and took his place as the pace car kept everyone in line while circling the track.

[Auir]

She checked off the last box on the list and said, 'Done!".

[paladin313]

Bell said to Skuld, "Get on some headsets, because, if there are mechanical issues, you'd be able to decipher what he was saying."

[Auir]

"Yes onee-sama!" she nodded, getting a pair of headphones. She lowered the mic to her mouth and said, "Testing. Testing."

[paladin313]

"Hey!" said Kei, "Good to have you on board!  Are you ready to win this thing?"

[Auir]

"Yep! Just rely on me, we'll definitely win this!"

[paladin313]

"Well, this is just for better starting position on Sunday, so, winning would be good, but, placing well is just as good.  Oh, and because this is a shorter race with only 18 cars, we have no restrictor plates, so, when you go to tweak the car, keep that in mind when you install it."

[Auir]

"Restrictor plates, got it. And be safe out there okay? Onee-sama's worried."

Indeed she was.  Keiichi took this challenge only because she knew he had to.  This was going through her head as the pace car ducked off and the green dropped, starting the 175 mile race.

[Trace Carter]

"It's going to be fine," Z told Belldandy.

[paladin313]

Keiichi suddenly found himself in the front five as they pulled away.  Keiichi said, "She's practically driving herself!  The trolls really must be on their game!"
     Meanwhile, there were general complaints around that were such that, though the cars were all at top efficiency, for some reason, they were not performing like they had been before this time.

[Trace Carter]

"looks like they noticed the absence of the magic," sighed Z

[paladin313]

"Well, they don't know that it was magic," said Ian, "All they knew was their cars were over-performing, and now they are more like what they should be."

[Auir]

"Won't that raise suspicions with the judges?" asked Skuld.
