"Ehehe, not really..." she laughed a bit dryly.

"Can you teach me?"

[paladin313]

"Oh sure!" he said, swimming to the lifeguard, explaining, and the lifeguard handed him a kick board.  He then said, "Meet me at the shallow end."

[Auir]

She nodded and stood up. Making sure not to run, she went to the other side and sliiped in.

[paladin313]

He then put the kick board in front of her and told her to grab it.  He then started to show her how to kick and float.  Bell saw that, and started to do the same with Kei.  Urd then slipped up to her mother's group and said, "So, you just couldn't stay out of this, could you?"

[Auir]

She grabbed it and began kicking as instructed.

Without warning, he let go, but stayed with her, knowing she would start to move.

[Auir]

The moment he let go, she began to sink.

[paladin313]

He quickly grabbed her and said, "Okay.  Well, I guess teaching you how to float would be better.  Let's start with treading water."

[Auir]

"How do you do that?"

[Trace Carter]

"What do you mean?" Z asked Urd

[paladin313]

"Oh, don't think I see through those disguises," she said, "I know who you are."



"It's how you stay afloat in deep water," he said, drifting out to deeper water while she stood in the shallow.  He was not sinking.  "What I'm doing is kicking my legs slowly and moving my arms back and forth.  This pushes against the water and keeps my head up."

[Trace Carter]

"Well then," said Z, "we're just on a relaxing trip.  Nothing bad."

[paladin313]

She eyeballed Hild eyeballing Sentaro, and she said, "With her around, it's never a 'relaxing' anything."

[Trace Carter]

Z picked up a glass with a virgin martini, "Au contraire, I am quite relaxed."

[paladin313]

She pointed at Hild and said, "So, why is she eyeing Sentaro so much."
