Hild then started to watch the little swimming lesson, pondering what to do next.

Sentaro began to do the treading water and hoped it would be easy to tell what to do.

[Auir]

"Alright, I'll try it." she said after surfacing. She began to tread, but rather awkwardly. She was up to her neck but somehow managed to stay afloat.

Sentaro looked underwater himself to see just what she was doing.

[Auir]

She was kicking and swaying just as he instructed.

[paladin313]

"Okay, you seem to have your head above water.  How does it feel?"

[Auir]

"Like I could sink any moment." she replied with effort.

[paladin313]

"It takes practice," he said, "But you're doing fine.  Just back up to where you can touch bottom if you feel tired."

[Auir]

"Okay, I'll go later." she said, still practicing her treading.

[paladin313]

"Well, don't do it too long," he said, "You're head will burn in the sun.  Once you feel good about that, we can start with just staying afloat, and then we can start with the doggie paddle."

[Auir]

"Doggie paddle?" she went back to the shallow end.

"It's where you paddle like a dog right?"

[paladin313]

"Yeah," he answered, "But first, you have to know how to float.  Let me show you the deadman's float."
     He held his breath and went face first into the water.  He just let his arms and legs hang, and he looked liked dead man floating in the water.

[Auir]

"My turn." she said. She held her breath and began floating.

[paladin313]

He was impressed she was catching on, but remembered how smart she was.  He then waited for her to surface.

[Trace Carter]

Z got up, "I'm going to get a bite to eat."

[paladin313]

Urd spied him, and taking the Sake with her, followed him.
