"Yes, those waves are nothing for you." she said, half-concentrated on the conversation, a quarter pushing him along, and a quarter staring daggers at Urd.

Urd just knew Skuld was jealous, and didn't like her vamping.  The waves, however, looked huge.

(Gotta call it.  Catch you next time.)

"Here, how much do you need?" she asked, while still diverting half her attention at Urd.

Many of the rentals were pricey, and even though Kei had the funds, he was still watching it.  Then, on the beach, one of the locals had some boards for real cheap, and they were useable, but they did show their use.

Z was heading t 99 Ranch for a bite to eat.

He got the board and watched some of the other riders, and then looked stunned at the size of the waves.

Z left the food court and headed to North Shore.

Sentaro was having second thoughts now, not sure if he could handle the waves.

Z walked up and noticed them.  He cast a disguise spell over himself and walked past with a rental board.

Sentaro just watched him to see what he would do.

[Trace Carter]

Z got in the water and paddled out.  When a wave came, he got up and began tube-riding.

It seemed easy enough, and a local said, "Better get out there while the tide is high.  You'll have about six or seven feet of water between you and the coral when you wipe out."
     He looked at him oddly and said, "When?"
     He swallowed hard, but headed out into the surf.

Z was having the time of his life as he caught another wave.

Sentaro felt the power of the wave behind him, but someone said, "No, wait until one set goes by to know when the biggest wave goes by, then catch one of the last three.  Thy the third from the last for someone just starting."
     He thus sat on the board and waited.  On the next set, he started to paddle hard, picked up speed, was able to balance, and then turned into the direction of the wave's movement.  At first he was okay, but the speed was greater than that he had ever experienced, and so, he went over.  he went back out to the spot where he was, tried again, and again...and again!
