She put on her shoes and followed.

[Trace Carter]

When they got to the arcade Z led her to the back room where the VR machine was, "the machine is built with a mix of science and magic but some of the mechanisms are acting up.  can you look at them?"

[Auir]

"Sure." she nodded, opening up her bag. She began unscrewing the screws keeping the back cover on to take a look inside.

[Trace Carter]

The inside was a mass of cables connecting to a sphere that had glowing runes on it.

[Auir]

She took out her laptop and several wires with patched ends. She powered it up and stuck it to the sphere.

[Trace Carter]

(the sphere is the illusion core that creates the VR experience.  It s filled with illusion spells)

[Auir]

Several magical runes appeared around the wires linking up to the sphere.

"Converting to calculable data now...." she muttered.

[Trace Carter]

Specifics on the spells and illusions used appeared on the screen along with a diagnostic of the device.  there were some problems with the interface connecting with the magic but the right upgrades would fix that.

[Auir]

"Hmm... All it needs is a little tune up on the human interface systems." said Skuld as she rummaged around in her tool bag.

[Trace Carter]

"can you fix it?" asked Z as he worked on the power core.

[Auir]

"Yeah, it shouldn't be that big of a problem." she replied as she got to work.

[Trace Carter]

"thanks," said Z, "just make sure to ask before you tamper with the runes."

[Auir]

"I get it, I get it."

[Trace Carter]

"Ok then," said Z before fiddling with the power core.

[Auir]

Some time passes before she spoke up.

"I need to tamper with the runes..."
