"Oh, don't be surprised on that.  Relationships mean nothing to me when someone in it tries to hurt someone I love.  In other words, you don't get a free pass for that."

[Trace Carter]

"Urd," said Z, "do you remember when we met?  how my magic was having problems and how my familiar resembled your angel?"

[paladin313]

"I believe so," she said, "What are you saying?"

[Trace Carter]

"I recently realized why that was so.  I was unsure of who I was.  I didn't know wether to embrace my demon half or to follow my beliefs and oppose them.  I recently found my path in life.  Urd, I will fight if i have to, but I hope from the bottom of my heart that things will never come to that.  You and mom are my only family and I don't want to lose you."

"Nor I you, but, understand, it may come to it: you choosing between what you are told to do or family, which makes it hard, because the one telling you what to do IS family acting against family.  She loves me, but can't stand the fact that I won't embrace that half of me."

[Trace Carter]

"I hope we at least have a few centuries before it comes to that," said Z, "and I'm sure I would lose, as I can't use some of my more recent spells against you due to a contract Lind made with me in exchange for letting me train with her and Ian."

"Smart," she said, "Then that means you are out of that much.  I love you: watch your step."

[Trace Carter]

"love you two," said Z before going to his next class.

[paladin313]

"That boy has put himself in deeper than he wants," she muttered walking away.

[Trace Carter]

(if heaven and hell ever fight, Z will be screwed.)

Z was watching Ian practice from the stands

Megumi was loving it, and Chrono was seeing it more from a military aspect.  She also said, "This reminds me so much of Air Bandy back home."

[Trace Carter]

Z was watching the stances and movements of the enforcers.  He found their job interesting

Indeed, Ian was one of them, shepherding the puck man, keeping the goons off them.  However, as a defenseman, he was aggressive, and liked to be on offense as much as defense, and he was fast enough to play both ends of the ice, making his team that much more effective on offense.
