"Hmm...that is in his personality.  It will inspire him to be cautious from now on, which means, cautious towards offers from us."

".... How is being cautious over being too cocky over doing something new is being cautious towards us? Unless you're planning on offering him power, I don't see the connection." Malek said.

"Even though he's gone through the doublet ritual, I still plan on winning him over to us."

[Trace Carter]

"how so?" asked Z

[paladin313]

"Haven't thought of that one yet, but give me time.  He's a psyche student, so getting BS past him is going to be hard."

[Trace Carter]

"Maybe offer him portions of the truth, instead of BS?" suggested Z

[paladin313]

She was about to chastise him, but then said, "Well, the truth can be more fun, depending on how you use it...hmm...give me an example, dear boy."

[Trace Carter]

"bring up how the almighty one manipulates people to help his goals, like how he forced Ian to take the divine path by giving him his angel egg."

[paladin313]

"Careful," she said, "Because, (and this is why I think we truly lost our argument at the hearing, though it was never mentioned,) that can be turned on us: we manipulate FAR more than he."

[Trace Carter]

"true," said Z, "I guess what I meant was revealing truths that put us in a good light, while witholding those that don't."

[paladin313]

"Well...of course...that's par for the course.  I mean, we get people to destroy themselves by not showing the end result of their bad behavior, which is deserved anyway.  They are bad, we just hasten along their demise.  Yet, it's always fun when you can get one from the other side every once and a while."

[Trace Carter]

"Glad to help," said Z.

[paladin313]

She kissed his cheek and said, "Oh, I am so glad you haven't let your sweet mommy down and joined the other side like your wayward sister."

[Trace Carter]

"I do have a semi-demon license," said Z, "so I will help out once in a while."

[paladin313]

"Good boy," she said, "At least one of my children want to stay close.  Perhaps we could make a brother out of that Ian."
