"Really?!" she asked, her face shining.

"But, I have to ask my sister first... Is that alright?"

[paladin313]

"You're...sister?  Oh...I guess she could come along as well," not stopping to think about her age, or her guardian.

[HotelKatz]

"Luckily, she's over eighteen, right? Otherwise, we might get in some serious trouble with the labor laws." a random member of the pit crew said.

[paladin313]

"Yeah...hey, kid...how old are you?"

[Auir]

"Uhhh, 14." she said, quickly making up an age.

[paladin313]

As if a scene of a comedy, she was promptly set outside that team's pit rather rudely and they acted like she wasn't even there.

[Auir]

"H-hey, what was that for?!" exclaimed Skuld as she waved her arms around.

[paladin313]

But, they were gone, lest someone came along and asked questions about why a minor was doing such a job without a permit, though someone did come along and stuff about two stacks into her hand and said, "You were never here."

[HotelKatz]

Urd walked over to Skuld.

"What happened, Skuld? you didn't try to SkuldBomb someone, did you?" Urd asked.

(Story note: two stacks means $2,000.)

"H-huh?" she looked at the money and was confused.

"No. We were all happy, and they offered me a contract. He asked me my age and all of a sudden I was kicked out...." answered Skuld.

Ian was about, trying to find where everyone went, and he said, "Hi, sis squared...what's wrong...and where'd you get that stack of cash!"

[Trace Carter]

A Mini-Z walked up, "where'd you get the cash, Skuld? sell one of your inventions?"

"I guess they wanted to cover their ass in case a surprise inspection showed up. I went to the library and discovered that the child labor laws around here kinda forbid minors from working around operating motor vehicles, unless you have a waiver from a public school or the Child Labor Compliance, graduated from an accredited high school, hold a high school equivalency diploma, served in the U.S. armed forces, are in a high school work program, or are married. So I came to pick you up." Urd said. "Wanna go get some ice cream?"

(I'm heading to bed. I'm sorry about going to bed so early lately.)

"Well, all that's true," he said, "They would face major fines if word came out a minor helped in the race.  Despite that, you got paid, girl.  That's 2 large!  That's a nice chunk of change!"
