"You really want to hear about the teasing and torment I went through as a kid?  Not the most edifying subject..."

"try being tormented by demons.  It's a lot worse."

"Literal or figurative, what's the difference?"

[Trace Carter]

"they use their powers to torment the half breed that doesn't think like a true demon," said Z

[paladin313]

"They use their mouths to constantly torment the kid that always seems to be different, nice, outgoing, a good study, of which they are jealous.  The tongue can cut as deeply as a sword."

[Trace Carter]

"that may be," said Z, "but the sword still hurts,"

[paladin313]

"Physical pain goes away, but mental pain can last long after the cut."

[Trace Carter]

"who said it was just physical pain," mumbled Z

[paladin313]

"Look, I'm not going to sit here and judge who had it worse!" he grumbled, "That's not worth it!  But if you want the whole story..."

[Trace Carter]

"not really," said Z, "it's not important."

[paladin313]

Chibi-Hild was loving this: getting him emotional and then open to suggestion.  She then said, "Yes, it is hard when people treat you like that to get anyone to love you, poor thing."

[Trace Carter]

Z nodded.

[paladin313]

"But now all that is changed.  What you are has come out all the way, and now two women vie for your hand.  The question is, are you going to ignore it or are you going to pursue what is right in front of you?"

[Trace Carter]

Z also wanted an answer

"I...don't know, I..." he rubbed the back of his neck, "Look, I have to worry about my studies.  Getting a doctorate one day is going to take much of my focus.  I don't know if getting into a relationship right now is wise."
