"You're demons!" she said, "That means you always have ulterior motives to help you and hurt us."

[Trace Carter]

"that really hurts," said Z, "you weren't this mean before K1 told you everything."

[paladin313]

"That's cause I didn't know what you were, and besides, you're going to tell me what I said isn't true?"

(Remember: she's a clever girl.)

[Trace Carter]

"It isn't," said z

[paladin313]

"Okay, let's try this again.  You are a demon, and...sort of one.  Your main goal in life is causing as much misery for us as possible.  Despite that, you want to be friends?  Something isn't clicking here."

[Trace Carter]

"I'm half human and attending a human college.  I would like to have some friends to hang out with."

[paladin313]

"Well, it makes it hard when you would wish ill for me in the long run," looking at the both of them.

[Trace Carter]

"we don't wish ill on anyone," said Kara.

[paladin313]

"We consider causing misery ill will.  There was a word Ian used--schadenfreude."

[Trace Carter]

Z sighed and got up, "this is getting tedious.  If you want to hate us for being what we are then do so."

With that he and Kara left.

"Wait, no, I'm trying to understand...ugh!"

[Trace Carter]

Z got his books together and headed to class.

[paladin313]

(She WAS trying to understand.  Remember: humans are going to mistrust demons because of their purpose, no matter how nice they are, because they would suspect a double-cross at every turn.)

[Trace Carter]

(I understand, but she was saying some hurtful things and judging them just because they're demons.  She knows Z and knows that he can be a very nice guy.)

(She's human and all humans have been told Demons, bad, Angels good.  Because of that, his good nature has been misinterpreted, and if he really wants her friendship, he's going to have to prove to her that everything she knows is wrong.  This is going to be interesting considering what Chibi Hild wants him to do concerning her.)
