"What's wrong, Skuld?" challenged Urd, "Can't hang with the big girls?  I thought a mind like yours would be able to take us easily.  *sigh* I guess it was all a myth..."

"Hmph! An udder-brain like you can't possible understand that this is a game of pure luck! I'm not going to fall for your taunts this time! Another round!" scoffed Skuld, putting down her money.

And so the game went on, and it seemed that more and more of the women were falling by the wayside, and it was indeed coming down to Urd and Skuld.

Alas, it was now down to those two. With a pot big enough to buy a moth's worth of snacks, everything came down to the hands they had.

The cards came down for head to head play.  Skuld got two aces: pocket rockets!

[Auir]

she silently squealed and smirked, looking over at Urd.

Welsper looked at Skuld in a way Urd could not see and mouthed, "Careful: you'll give away your hand!"
     Urd was not certain about the smirk, wondering if it was a bluff, looked at her cards, had no expression, and bet about 2,000 yen: her original buy-in, (seeing that the both had about 6,000 yen between the two of them.)

She matched and added 1000 to that.

"Call," said Urd, as they flopped two tens and a duce.

[Auir]

"Hmm..." Skuld frowned and looked at the flop.

"Call." she said.

Urd knew she had to have some kind of edge.  Another ace came out on the turn, and Urd bet half her pot.

[Auir]

Skuld matched it and added a bit more.

[paladin313]

"Call," said Urd, and the river came down.  It was a king, and Urd said, "all in."

[Auir]

"All in." said Skuld, hoping that her confidence in her hand won't fail her.

Urd turned over two kings, "Hah!  Full House, Kings over tens!  Beat that!"
