"Well, still, I would rather him around us.  Knowing Belldandy, she could talk him into not being like that and find some other way he can use his powers, and not for our gain."

"And if she did that, it'd be inviting you to cause Keiichi some seriously bad misfortune, wouldn't it?" Malek asked.

[paladin313]

"Well...it DOES kind of open the door to that..."

[HotelKatz]

"And Belldandy does what she can to avoid unnecessary trouble for Keiichi. So she'll avoid trying to talk Z into doing anything that incurs your wraith towards Keiichi." Malek said.

[paladin313]

"That could make things even MORE interesting!"

[HotelKatz]

"What? The idea that having Z around the temple eats at Belldandy a little because she knows that she could talk Z into doing a bit more good, but it'd come at the cost of you going after Keiichi with more vindictiveness than she's ever seen before?" Malek asked.

[paladin313]

"So, is that your intent for getting Z to move in?"

[HotelKatz]

"No, my intention for Z to move into the arcade is more-or-less a gift to you." Malek said.

"Oh...well...please forgive me for thinking business so much.  You have to understand."

[HotelKatz]

Malek smiled.

"Why did you think I retired from the spy game? I was starting to let work get into every single thought I had." Malek said, leaning back in his chair a little. "A bit of a vacation does wonders for the soul. Perhaps you should consider one for yourself?"

"And let Niflheim slip in to chaos?  Who would I leave in charge...Hagal?"

[HotelKatz]

"As good as she is at the day-to-day stuff with following your orders, she's proven that she can't handle being in your position." Malek said. "I suggest leaving a fraction of yourself in command. When you finish your vacation, let the fraction have her vacation."

"Hmm...that would mean Chibi-Hild, and who would run the arcade?"

"Deberk's doing a fairly good job at it." Malek said.

"All I do is repair stuff..." Deberk said.

"But the fraction of yourself at the arcade at the moment is doing a fine job at running the arcade." Malek said. "It may be a full-sized, low magic fraction; but it's doing well."

"Hmm...perhaps we could go to Disneyworld after all this is done?"
