Z was laughing at the predicament, "What she means is the company has been around for years but the computer branch that built the laptop was born recently."

Ian gave her the look of, "Hey, she doesn't know."  Chrono nodded and Ian let her go.  Ian then said, "So, have you thought about what I said about the existence of God via Thomas Aquinas?"
     "Well, yes, but, I still scratch my head over it."

[Trace Carter]

"you really memorize that stuff easily" sighed Z

"I'm an engineer," said Megumi, "I have to have a sharp mind."

[Trace Carter]

"I guess that's why those classes were hard for me," said Z, "now art and english were a snap.  I just had to bring my mind's images into the real world."

[paladin313]

"You have to have a good imagination for literature," said Ian, "I dabble with writing, but I know I'm not a novelist, or esle Id already be writing now."

[Trace Carter]

"I'm actually working on a fiction story that combines the norse religion and the modern world," said Z, "I want to show my professor and get his opinion."

"Can I see any of it?"

Z handed him the manuscript.
(basically it's a novelization of the Ah! My Goddess anime, including Fighting Wings.)

After scanning it over, he looked at Z with a raised eyebrow, saying sarcastically, "Gee: I wonder what your inspiration was!"

[Trace Carter]

"Whatever do you mean?" asked Z in a false innocent voice, "none of it is real...riiight?"

[paladin313]

She smirked and said, "Yes...very original," handing it back.

[Trace Carter]

Z laughed, "I one day hope to write a best seller novel, but this is a start."
