"Well, you can work here, or, you can work where I work.  I'm manager there."

[Trace Carter]

"I think I'll apply at your place"

[paladin313]

"Good," she said, "It's sad to admit that Belldandy got me the job, but it has worked out.  You should see the misery I can cause: sorry, sir, we're out of aspirin.  I know you need milk, but the truck won't be in until tomorrow morning."

[Trace Carter]

Kara laughed, "you and I will get along fine.  So what can you tell me about Kazi?"

[paladin313]

"Oh, a confused kid!  He wasn't sure what way to go, but he's starting to see the darkness now.  He's come over to our side completely!"

[Trace Carter]

"it's good that he found his way,"

[paladin313]

"What's so great is he has the complete trust of those at the temple!"

[Trace Carter]

"really now?" said Kara in surprise

[paladin313]

"Yes," she said, "This was when he was still trying to get his head on straight, and he was befriended by them.  That was when he met the demigod."

[Trace Carter]

"I see, he get's more interesting every year."

[paladin313]

"Well, I'm going to get some rest.  I have to open the shop tomorrow.  After you register for classes, come by and I'll get you in."

[Trace Carter]

She nodded.

It was just before sunrise, and Ian was starting to get used to the early training sessions, but this time, he awoke to the smell of a good breakfast and coffee in his kitchenette.  He staggered out in his robe to find that Chrono was fixing his breakfast, saying, "I knew you would be up for Lind, and since I was training with her as well, I thought I'd get your breakfast going."
     Her grin was pleasant enough, and he seemed happy that she didn't seem to be as aggressive as she was normally.  He smiled and said, "Well, I would say this is a pleasant way to wake up.  Thank you."

Z was getting up and making a simple breakfast of eggs and sausage for himself before he went to meet Ian to go to school.  For some reason, he didn't feel that bad about hurting Megumi to cause misfortune.  He dismissed it and added some dill weed to his eggs.

(Thursday...no class for Ian.  Maybe for Z, depending on his schedule.)

"I figured you would do better with some more energy," she said, "Considering the amount of time that you would have today to learn stuff, you'd need a good feed."
     Indeed, she was right, as he did feel more awake and ready to face the day.  As he finished, a simple spell caused all the dishes to be cleaned and racked, and he went out just in time to meet Lind.
