(sorry. edited. It's kind of confusing.)
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

The red flag came out not too long after the ambulance arrived in the infield where the car fell.  Things became deathly quiet, as, sadly, her prayers were not answered, and a sheet was pulled over the stretcher.

Skuld stifled a gasp and fell against Belldandy, holding onto her.

Belldandy did what she could, trying to console her, assuring her that it was his time, and that heaven was taking good care of him now, but now she had a tear herself.  She knew that, in a few days, Keiichi would be doing a short race with the big boys for the first time preparing for that race on Sunday.  Now, she was not so certain she wanted Kei out there at all.

"Keiichi-onii is going to be racing like this too isn't he?" said Skuld.

A mini-Malek that was hidden and observing, thought to himself, 'Even now, something like that is still hard to watch.'

Urd crossed her arms in a bit of a hug.

'I really hope Keiichi won't end up like that... No one deserves to end up like that' Urd thought.

She could feel Belldandy shiver, and she said, "He'll be in tight packs, moving at about 250 kph...all because of his friends...why did I ever let him commit to this!"
She was crying more now, afraid of what could happen.

"It'll be alright onee-sama. He's good at this. It won't happen." said Skuld, trying to reassure Belldandy.

The announcement was then made about what happened, and a moment of silence was demanded for the fallen driver.

The crowds fell silent as they each offered their respects to the driver.

It took a good 30 minutes to resolve the action, and once done, the race was back on.  Fatalities did occur in this kind of racing, and more often than people would care to know.  Yet, in this kind of racing, it was also true that, for the memory of that driver, or any driver, they would race on, knowing that it would be what he wanted.  The roar of the cars could be heard again, and though it was announced that the team Skuld was helping was leading in class and overall, Belldandy was more concerned about Kei to even care.

Skuld looked up at Belldandy's worried face.

"I'll go get us something." she said, leaving her seat to find a vendor.

However, Bell did not want to seem to let her go.  She wanted to hold someone, but it was late, and she wanted her Kei to sleep well.  He wanted to come to watch the cyclists the next day, and hoped he would be fully alert to watch the racing he truly loved.

(We'll skip that race and go right to the 175 races after this La Mans Series is over.)

A few minutes later, Skuld returned with two drinks in her hands.

"Here." she said, handing Bellndandy one.

(Should I post what the Dream Malek had in store for Keiichi now or later?)
