The more Megumi thought about it, the less she liked.  She just KNEW they were trying to set her up for something.  Why else be nice to creatures you are seeking to hurt?

Kara subtly used her psychic powers to make Megumi a little more open minded towards demons.  She made sure Megumi was none the wiser though.
