"What are you talking about?"

"I can use my illusions to send you into your psyche to find your specialty, but as a cambion, I am required to take a price."

[paladin313]

"*sigh* what's the price?"

[Trace Carter]

Z handed him the calculations for a complex spell array, "I need one drawn for me to copy onto the VR."

[paladin313]

"I don't understand.  What would you want me to do?"

[Trace Carter]

"I just want you to have skuld make a magic array for my machine in exchange for this procedure."

[paladin313]

"Doesn't seem too bad, but isn't the cost of someone like you more beneficial to you and a touch of a detriment to me?  Isn't that how it normally works?"

[Trace Carter]

"I believe in equivalent exchange," said Z

[paladin313]

"Is that because you have a human side as I?"

[Trace Carter]

"probably," said Z, "I dont like to cheat people, but I will ask for payment,"

[paladin313]

"Well, Megumi needs to be careful," he answered, "Not all demons are bad, but she still needs to stay on her toes.  Some demon who is not so kind may take advantage of her trust."

[Trace Carter]

"true," said Z, "so how are things with the two of you?"

[paladin313]

"It's there," he said, "I mean, she's a blue collar girl, so we relate.  I come from a blue collar town, if you know what I mean by that term."

[Trace Carter]

"I do," said Z, "what about you and chrono?"

[paladin313]

"She's a nice kid, but tries too hard.  She doesn't know that she's not really being herself.  If I could see the true her, maybe..."
