[Trace Carter]

Z headed to a buffet.

[paladin313]

Urd slipped in line behind him and said, "I really don't understand what you see in Hild to be following her lead to get into mischief.  You're getting as bad as Loki."

[Trace Carter]

"she's my mother," said Z, "she's the only parent I have.  You have the almighty one, imagine if for most of your life you had no connection to either of your parents."

[paladin313]

"I have no connection to one of them..." she answered, trailing off.

[Auir]

After a minute, she finally stopped and surfaced.

[paladin313]

"Well, you have that down," he answered, "Before long, I'll have you swimming in no time."
     He then swam to the other side of the pool, (still in the shallow end,) and said, "Okay, try the doggie paddle and come to me.  If you don't feel confident and begin to sink, remember you can just put your feet down and be okay.  Alright?"

[Auir]

"Sink, put feet down. Got it." she nodded and began to doggie paddle toward him.

[Trace Carter]

"At least you have one," said Z, "I spent the majority of my life living on my own with no parental support."

[paladin313]

She sighed, took a swig, and then said, "Look, I know it had to be rough, and the fact that ANY of your parents want to spend time with you is a joyous thing.  But, well, you KNOW what she does.  Remember what she said about the Titanic?  There are times she wears that one as a badge of honor."

"Look at you!" he exclaimed, "Your swimming!"
     Bel let go of Kei and squealed with delight, "Oh Skuld!  I'm so happy for you," and then had to pull Kei up before he drown.

[Trace Carter]

"I know what she's done," said Z, "and I can't say that I'm 100% fine with it, but I also know that I'm expected to do things too so I shouldn't judge too harshly.  And she promised not to sink this ship."

[Auir]

"I-I am onee-sama!" said Skuld happily as she paddled along.

[paladin313]

"That doesn't mean other disasters can't befall us.  Look up the Morro Castle."

"Keep it up!" said Sentaro, all smiles.  Now Kei felt challenged and started to do it himself, and now Bell squealed with joy.

[Trace Carter]

Z frowned, "good point"

[Auir]

She stopped and stood up when she reached him.

"I did it!"

He gave her a mighty hug and said, "I am so proud of you!  You can swim!"

"You see, she only promised not to SINK the ship.  *sigh* looks like you're going to have to learn about her the hard way."
