"Thank you," said Odin, "I shall call you back after we hear from Dionysus.  I call Dionysus to the stand."

[HotelKatz]

The interrogation squad grabbed the chains and carried Dionysus to the stand.

"Okay," said Hild, "What did Malek do you thought was so bad that you did what you did to those people?"

[HotelKatz]

"Well.... He's a demon. He had to do something evil to those people!" Dionysus said, while refusing to look at Hild.

[Trace Carter]

 Z's eyebrow was twitching, "we're not all that bad." he muttered

"So, you assumed that he was doing something bad," asked Hild, "Do you have any proof?"

[HotelKatz]

"When I told them that he was a demon and I was a god, they refused to believe me! Even after I tried to offer them a lifetime of the multiverse's finest wine!" Dionysus exclaimed.

(Heading to dinner.)

"Is it not then their choice as to whether they believed or not?" asked Odin, "In fact, because you presented this and they refused to believe, then it falls on their heads if disaster struck them.  They had a chance for mercy, and they made a choice.  When I created all, I gave sentient creatures something I did not give anything else: free will.  If they refused the aid and mercy of a god, then they chose their own fate."
     Hild was forced to agree and she said, "Therefore, doing what you did to them went beyond even bounds Odin would not cross, though he or I would have every right.  What made you think your judgment was more sound than what either I or Odin would have done?"

'It kinda seems that Dionysus is like Aoshima....' Urd thought.

"But... But.... They insulted me by refusing to believe me!" Dionysus said.

"I am insulted when they don't believe me, but it is their choice," said Odin, who then said, "Stand down, but I may call you back."
     Hild then called from Niflheim the souls of those people and had them come to the stand.  She then asked them, "Do you know these two?"

(I thought it was stated that the souls were reincarnated.)

(Oops...their testimony would have been helpful.)

(character witnesses like Ian and Z could be called to validate Malek's credibility)

(We could use the old 'take them out of a moment in time, have them do their thing, erase their memories, then send them back' trick.)

With that, they appeared.
