"nee-sama and Mara seem to be getting along," said Z

(having trouble getting to sleep, so I'll post a bit more.)

"They were, and still are, friends. They just have a different way of showing it." Mini-Deberk said.

----

"Alright." Deberk said to Skuld.

"maybe this place can help them connect better?" mused Z

"Friendly competition in general does it." Mini-Deberk said.

"maybe this can help nee-sama accept her demon roots?"

"From what Malek told me, she accepts that they are a part of her, but she chooses to be a goddess." Mini-Deberk said.

"kind of the opposite of me," sighed Z

"But you and her seem to still have a peaceful relationship. There doesn't seem to be any hate or distrust." Mini-deberk said.

"I just meant that while she chose her goddess half I chose the demon path and even moved out of the temple," said Z, "that's probably why Dusk's Light looks like World of Elegance: it's because of my inner turmoil."

By this point, only the most elite soldiers could have hacked it, and now Mara was saying things like, "Once more unto the breach, dear friends!  Cry 'Havoc', and let us slip the dogs of war!  I was there on Saint Crispian's Day!  God and Texas: Liberty or Death!  We shall fight them in France, we shall fight them in England; we shall fight them with ever growing confidence in the air!  We shall fight them on the beaches and on the landing grounds!  We shall fight them in the city and in the country!  We shall NEVER surrender!"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

And then the wagon and its riders were destroyed by a wave of giant ants.

"NO!  NO!  WE HAD THEM!  WE HAD THEM!"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"Ah well. Better to die there than to die on the river while facing boulders, crocodiles, and bandits. Nothing sucks more than being mere fingertips away from victory and then losing." Urd said, as she was amused at how far she and Mara had gotten..

"And to think that we...actually worked together!  YOU TRICKED ME!  YOU HAD ME WORK WITH YOU!  Goddesses and demons are supposed to compete, not be friends!"
"*cough* neutral ground *cough, cough,*" said Ian.
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"Technically, the only competition in the game is high scores. Annddd..." Urd said as she looked at the scores. "We're dead even. Huh... Funny that...."
